UA-5231M CR is an IIoT communication server that links IT and OT systems. It polls remote I/O modules and controllers over Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU/ASCII, MQTT or EtherNet/IP and republishes that data as OPC UA, MQTT and SNMP at the same time, so one unit can serve MES, ERP, SCADA and cloud systems together.
The data logger writes I/O data to a remote MS SQL, MySQL or MariaDB database and to CSV files on a microSD card, building a local historical record. An offline data recovery mechanism protects the remote database connection, which supports one database connection with up to 1000 tags. Cloud connectivity covers Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, IBM Cloud and ThingSpeak, while IFTTT can trigger app notifications when an event occurs.
Security options include HTTPS, an OpenVPN client, SNMP v3, communication encryption and dynamic blocklist and whitelist filtering. The metal case mounts on DIN-rail and is rated for -25 ~ +75°C operation. An optional XV-board can add I/O or RS-485 ports, on Rev.B units only.
