PCI Express Digital I/O
The PEX-P8R8i is a PCI Express x1 digital I/O board that combines eight photocoupler-isolated digital inputs with eight relay outputs on one card. Each input is isolated to 3750 Vrms and can be floated, which helps prevent ground loops between field wiring and the host PC.Engineers moving from the PISO-P16R16U will find it a direct swap, as no changes to the software or driver are required. The inputs accept AC or DC signals from 5 to 24 V and offer a selectable DC signal filter. The relays, configured as four SPDT and four SPST contacts, suit switching external devices, driving small power switches or activating alarms. The order includes one CA-4002 D-Sub connector for the female DB37 port. A 4-bit Card ID set by an SMD switch allows individual boards to be identified in a multi-card system. The rated operating temperature is 0 ~ +60°C.ApplicationsControlling the ON/OFF state of external devicesDriving external relays or small power switchesActivating alarmsReplacing PISO-P16R16U boards in existing PCI-based systems
