The I-8091W-G gives an iPAC-8000 or ISaGRAF PAC controller direct control of two stepping or servo motor axes. Each axis can run independently or simultaneously, and the module supports linear and circular interpolation across both axes, which suits planar positioning tasks such as X-Y tables.Motion commands are received from the host through a command-type interface backed by a 2K byte FIFO. An onboard microcomputer handles profile generation and protection, and automatic trapezoidal acceleration and deceleration smooth the motion profile. Output pulses can be sent as CW/CCW or Pulse/Direction, with programmable output polarity.Each axis has three optically isolated digital inputs for limit switches, and the initial condition of each can be set as normal open or normal close.
