The tGW-718-T is a compact gateway that lets a Modbus TCP host communicate with serial Modbus RTU or ASCII devices over Ethernet. It supports Modbus TCP/UDP master and slave operation on the network side, and Modbus RTU/ASCII master and slave operation on its single RS-232/422/485 serial port.The read-cache stores previous requests and responses in the module's memory. When several masters poll the same slave device with identical requests, the cached reply is returned immediately, which reduces traffic on the serial bus and gives faster TCP responses.
