The unit offers one isolated RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 port and a 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet port with IEEE 802.3af Class 1 Power over Ethernet. It can also be powered from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block. A read-cache stores previous requests and responses, so repeated requests to the same slave device are answered immediately, which reduces RS-485 bus loading and improves response times.
