Product information "PISO-CM200U-T 2-Port Programmable CAN Universal PCI Card"
PISO-CM200U-T CR is a two-channel CAN interface card for universal PCI slots. It suits engineers who need a PC-hosted CAN node that handles message traffic independently of the host, using prioritised CAN messages in distributed control and sensor/actuator networks.
The card uses a Bosch C_CAN controller with NXP 82C250 transceivers and supports both CAN 2.0A and CAN 2.0B. An onboard 32-bit microprocessor performs message filtering, pre-processing and timestamped storage, and can also handle real-time transmission. A dual-port RAM mechanism passes data between the host application and the card firmware.
Custom CAN applications can be developed with the PISO-CM200U library, with C#.Net, VB.Net and VC++.Net SDK options and a driver for Windows XP, 7, 8.1 and 10 in 32-bit and 64-bit editions. The card is isolated, has a jumper-selectable 120 Ω terminator and a DIP-switch board number.
- Two CAN ports for 10 k to 1 M bps operation
Applications
- Monitoring and control of sensors and actuators on CAN networks
- Custom CAN Bus applications developed on a Windows PC using the PISO-CM200U library
- Industrial control and monitoring systems that need a PC-hosted CAN interface
