The PEX-CAN200i-T CR is an economical two-port active CAN board for PCI Express slots, suited to engineers who need isolated CAN bus channels in a PC-based system. Each of the two independent CAN channels uses a 5-pin screw terminal connector, and the card can be fitted in PCI Express x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots.
The card is built around an NXP SJA1000T CAN controller with a 16 MHz clock and an 82C250 transceiver. It supports CAN 2.0 parts A and B and is fully compatible with ISO 11898-2, with baud rates from 10 kbps to 1 Mbps. The controller handles bus arbitration, error detection with automatic correction and retransmission, and a built-in jumper selects a 120 ohm terminal resistor.
Driver support covers Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10 (32-bit and 64-bit) and Linux 2.6.x to 5.4.0, together with LabView, DASYLab and InduSoft. SDK options include VB 6.0, VC++ 6.0, BCB 6.0, Delphi 4.0, C#.Net and VB.Net, and demos are provided for VB, VC++, Delphi and BC++. The operating temperature range is 0 to +60 °C.
