The ECAT-2028 is an EtherCAT SubDevice that gives an EtherCAT Main Device or configurator direct control of eight isolated 12-bit analogue outputs. Each channel can be set to ±5 V, ±10 V, 0 ~ +5 V or 0 ~ +10 V, so it can drive a wide range of analogue actuators and control inputs from a single node on the network.
Two RJ-45 bus ports allow modules to be daisy chained, and the network can be built as a star, line or ring topology. Stations can be up to 100 m apart over 100BASE-TX. The module has passed the EtherCAT conformance test tool, and output status is returned through process data.
Built for panel and cabinet installation, the module has a removable terminal block connector, LED indicators for I/O status and 4 kV contact ESD protection on each channel. It runs from a +10 VDC to +30 VDC supply and operates between -25 and +75 °C.
