Redundant Power Supply
RPS-100 CR is a 100W redundant power supply module for 24V DC systems. It reports output current, temperature, status and runtime to a communication module, so engineers can judge the health of the power module, log overall power consumption and receive real-time alarms when conditions go abnormal.A runtime log supports maintenance and replacement decisions, and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) data helps plan replacement before a module reaches the end of its useful life. Together these functions aim to give early warning of faults in critical installations.Load balancing is built in, so no separate load balancing module is needed. The slot design supports hot-swapping, so a module can be replaced without a power failure and with fewer wiring changes.ApplicationsRedundant power supply for critical industrial systemsIndustrial installations requiring a stable and safe power supply
RPS-4M CR is a 4-slot redundant power communication module that combines N+1 power backup with remote monitoring of the power modules it hosts. Each slot takes a 100W power module, and when four modules are fitted the unit can deliver the rated power of three, so the failure of any one module does not interrupt supply. The load current is shared evenly across the modules, which avoids premature wear on a single unit.Power modules can be hot-swapped, so a faulty unit can be replaced without shutting down the system. The built-in diagnostics report the temperature, output current, status and usage time of each module, and a relay alarm output signals a module failure to external equipment. Diagnostic data can be read by a supervisory system over RS-485 or Ethernet.Communication uses Modbus RTU slave on the RS-485 port and Modbus TCP server with a built-in web server on the 10/100Base-TX Ethernet port. Engineers can use the module in ICP DAS redundant architectures covering I/O, controller, Ethernet ring and HMI redundancy.ApplicationsRedundant power supply for I/O data acquisition systemsController redundancy for program controlEthernet ring communication redundancyHMI redundancy for display and information recordingRemote monitoring of power module condition in industrial control cabinets
