I-8811 CR is an 8-slot serial embedded controller built around an 80188-40 CPU running the MiniOS7 embedded operating system, which has a DOS-like command structure and boots in 0.4 to 0.8 seconds. It gives engineers a compact controller that can access the full range of I-8K and I-87K series I/O modules, including DI, DO, DIO, AI, AO, counter/frequency and motion modules.
The controller provides four serial ports (two RS-232, one RS-485 and one switchable RS-232/RS-485), a 64-bit hardware serial number for software protection, a built-in watchdog and a hardware diagnostic function. Software is developed in C language. This ordering code is the blue cover version.
Designed for remote data acquisition and control, the I-8811 CR suits environmental monitoring, power management and factory automation. When fitted with an S-256 (256 KBytes) or S-512 (512 KBytes) battery backup SRAM, it also provides data logger storage. The unit operates from +10 to 30 VDC across -25 to +75 °C.
