The I-7565-DNM-G CR is a USB-attached DeviceNet master converter. It lets a host PC run a DeviceNet master on the network without a dedicated PAC or fieldbus card, which makes it a cost-effective option for adding DeviceNet control to existing systems. It supports Group 2 Only Server and UCMM functions for communicating with slave devices.The converter has one independent CAN-based DeviceNet port, built around an NXP SJA1000T controller running at 16 MHz. The programmable master MAC ID and selectable baud rate of 125, 250 or 500 kbps suit a range of network layouts. A jumper provides a 120 Ω terminal resistor, and the port is isolated, rated at 3000 VDC for DC-to-DC and 2500 Vrms for photo-coupling.Drivers are supplied for Win XP, Win7, Win8 and Win10 in 32-bit and 64-bit editions, along with a Linux driver. The GW-7433D-G bridges CANopen networks and Ethernet-based control systems. On the field side it operates as a CANopen master, using PDO and SDO services to communicate with slave devices. On the plant side it appears as a Modbus TCP server and a Modbus RTU slave, so an existing CANopen installation can be monitored and controlled from any Modbus TCP client or Modbus RTU master.Slave devices are predefined using the manufacturer's utility software. At start-up the gateway collects the required information from those slaves. It supports up to 20 CANopen slave devices, and up to five Modbus TCP clients can access the unit at the same time.The listen mode lets engineers monitor CANopen slave data without taking part in the network traffic.
