PET-7284 CR is a PoE-powered Ethernet I/O module for applications that need fast pulse counting, frequency measurement or encoder reading alongside switched digital output. Each of its 8 counter channels can be configured individually, so a single module can mix up/down counting, frequency input, direct/pulse counting and A/B phase quadrant counting, with 32-bit counter resolution.
Counter values can be retained across power cycles using FRAM memory, which can be enabled or disabled depending on the application. A programmable low pass filter (1 ~ 32767 μs) helps suppress noise on counting inputs. The module supports Modbus TCP and Modbus UDP and includes a built-in web server and web HMI for configuration and monitoring.
The integrated 2-port 10/100 Base-TX switch with LAN bypass allows the module to be daisy-chained along an Ethernet line. Dual watchdogs, programmable power-on and safe values for the digital outputs, and 2500 VDC I/O isolation support reliable operation in distributed control systems. The module is supplied with RoHS compliance and is mounted on a DIN rail.
