The PET-7083 CR is a three-axis, high-speed encoder and counter module for Ethernet networks. Each axis can be set individually to Quadrant, CW/CCW or Pulse/Direction counting, so one module can serve mixed motion or position-sensing layouts without extra interface hardware.
Power can be supplied over PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1) or from a terminal block at +12 ~ +48 VDC. A built-in FRAM stores the counter values so they survive power loss, and this retention can be enabled or disabled. The module includes a built-in web server, web HMI, and dual watchdog for supervising both the module and communication.
