The PET-2218HS-16 CR is a PoE-powered Ethernet I/O module that brings 16 thermocouple inputs onto a network, with fast mode sampling at 100 Hz per channel. It accepts a wide range of thermocouple types, including J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N, C, L, M and L DIN43710, and each channel can be configured individually. Automatic cold-junction compensation is applied to all channels, and open wire detection is provided per channel to help identify broken sensor connections.A built-in 2-port 10/100 Base-Tx switch allows modules to be daisy-chained along the network, which reduces cabling and switch hardware in multi-module installations. Configuration is handled through the built-in web server, and the module supports Modbus TCP, Modbus UDP, MQTT and SNMP V2c, with password and IP filter access control. Firmware can be updated over Ethernet.For electrically noisy plants, the module offers 3000 VDC I/O isolation and EMS protection against EFT, ESD and surge events.
