Product information "PDSM-721D Programmable Serial-to-Ethernet Device Server, 6 DI / 7 DO, Metal"
PDSM-721D is a programmable serial-to-Ethernet device server that brings one RS-232 and one RS-485 serial device onto an Ethernet network. The VxComm utility can map the built-in serial ports to standard virtual COM ports on a Windows PC, so existing COM-based software can reach the devices over the network.
The unit runs the built-in MiniOS7 operating system, which boots in one second, and supports a programmable Xserver structure for custom Ethernet applications. It also works as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway for SCADA and HMI systems. Six digital inputs support latched D/I and counter functions, while seven open-collector sink outputs handle switching duties. A watchdog timer and ±4 kV ESD protection on the serial port are included for demanding environments.
The metal case, removable terminal block and wall mounting suit industrial installations powered from 10 to 30 VDC and operating between -25 and +75 °C. The package includes a CA-0910 cable.
