DB-24P/DIN 24-ch Optically Isolated Digital Input Daughter Board

The DB-24P CR is a 24-channel optically isolated digital input daughter board designed to plug into OPTO-22 compatible digital input cards such as the DIO24, DIO48 and DIO144. Each input uses a bi-directional opto-coupler with a current-sensing resistor, so field signals are electrically separated from the host computer. This separation helps protect the computer against large common-mode voltages, ground loops and voltage spikes common in industrial environments.For DC signals, the board accepts levels from TTL up to 24 V, with an ON voltage level of 2.8 V to 24 V (max) and an OFF voltage level of 1 V (max). For AC signals, the AC filter jumper must be shorted. The input then registers a constant logic high when the AC frequency is 1 kHz or above and the voltage is at least 4 Vrms.
