Product information "uPAC-7186EXD-FD-G Ethernet PAC with MiniOS7, 80186 CPU and 64MB NAND Flash"
uPAC-7186EXD-FD-G CR is a programmable automation controller built around an 80186-80 CPU and the MiniOS7 framework from ICP DAS. It bridges serial devices to Ethernet, letting engineers connect RS-232 and RS-485 equipment to a network with minimal development effort.
The unit combines a 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet port with one RS-232 and one RS-485 port, and offers 512 KB of Flash, 16 KB of EEPROM and 64 MB of NAND Flash for program and data storage. Application code is written in C using the supplied development tool kits, and the standard Modbus protocol allows it to communicate with common SCADA packages.
Hardware can be extended through the I/O expansion bus, which accepts a single X-board, selected from the more than 50 boards listed for this controller. A 5-digit 7-segment LED display, a watchdog timer and a 64-bit hardware serial number support local status indication and system reliability.
Applications
- Connecting serial devices to Ethernet and Internet networks
- Modbus-based data exchange with SCADA systems
- Serial-to-Ethernet control and data acquisition with hardware expansion via X-board
