MDCL-705i collects data from several Modbus slave devices over its RS-485 ports and makes it available on Ethernet, so a SCADA, HMI or PLC can read many devices in a single poll. Polling definitions are written as Modbus RTU commands in a CSV file and imported through the built-in web interface, with up to 250 definitions across all RS-485 ports.
Polled values are held in shared memory tables for coils, discrete inputs, input registers and holding registers, with up to 9600 registers per table. Up to 8 Modbus TCP clients can read this data at the same time, and ratio conversion turns raw register values into engineering units.
The stand-alone data logger records user-selected Modbus registers periodically, with up to 120 parameters per record. Records are saved as CSV files to the included 32 GB microSD card and can be downloaded through the web interface for analysis in Microsoft Excel or a plain text editor.
