The I-8123W-CPS-G adds a single CANopen slave port to supported ICP DAS PACs, so an engineer can connect a WinPAC, ViewPAC or XPAC controller to a CANopen network as a slave device. It is a practical choice where a PAC needs CANopen connectivity without a separate gateway, and it suits distributed real-time control in industrial, building and vehicle applications.
The module follows the CiA DS-301 v4.02 specification and supports node IDs from 1 to 127, with a programmable slave node ID. Node Guarding, Heartbeat Consumer, EMCY, and PDO/SYNC behaviour can be configured through event triggers and several PDO transmission modes, while dynamic PDO mapping and single-byte PDO output help keep process data updates efficient.
Ordering code I-8123W-CPS-G CR. The CAN interface uses an NXP SJA1000T controller with a built-in 120 Ω terminal resistor, a baud rate range of 10 k to 1 M, and 2500 Vrms photo-isolation on the CAN side. Vendor-supplied eVC++, VB.Net and C# demos are provided to help with application development.
