The I-7188EXD CR is a palm-size programmable automation controller for engineers who need Ethernet connectivity alongside serial communication. It runs the built-in MiniOS7 operating system and is programmed in C using the manufacturer's software development toolkit.
Serial devices on the RS-232 or RS-485 ports can be brought onto Ethernet and the Internet, and the standard Modbus protocol allows communication with SCADA packages. The single I/O expansion bus accepts one X-board, so analogue, digital or serial functions can be added to suit the application.
This ordering code is the blue-cover version, with a 5-digit 7-segment LED display, a system status LED, a 64-bit hardware serial number, a real-time clock, a watchdog timer and a DIN-rail mounting housing.
