The WP-8429-CE7-1500 is a Windows CE 7.0 WinPAC controller built for engineers who want visualisation and supervisory control on the same hardware as their I/O. The InduSoft runtime, licensed for 1500 tags, is pre-installed, so the unit can run HMI and SCADA applications developed with the InduSoft toolset without a separate runtime installation.
Processing is handled by a Cortex-A8 CPU at 1.0 GHz with 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM and 256 MB Flash. Four expansion slots accept I-8K (parallel-type) and I-87K (serial-type) I/O modules, allowing the controller to be configured for the signal mix of a specific panel or machine. Two 10/100/1000Base-TX Ethernet ports, VGA output, two USB ports and a set of RS-232 and RS-485 serial ports give several routes for communication and local display.
The controller accepts a DC supply from +10 VDC to +30 VDC, with redundant power inputs and an alarm relay rated at 1 A @ 24 VDC. It is specified for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C and can be mounted on a DIN rail or on a wall, which suits control cabinets with limited space.
