WISE-5231M is a metal-cased edge controller for running control logic and monitoring remote I/O without writing code. Logic rules are set up through web pages in a standard browser, so no separate configuration software is needed. The IF-THEN-ELSE engine supports unlimited rules, alongside timers, schedules and data logging.
The controller can gather data from several device types at once, including XV-board, DCON and Modbus RTU slave modules on its RS-485 ports, and Modbus TCP slave modules over Ethernet. Up to 32 DCON or Modbus RTU slave modules can be connected, with COM3 and COM4 each handling up to 16 modules individually. Data can be forwarded through MQTT, Modbus TCP/RTU, SNMP, FTP and email, and LINE notifications are available for real-time alerts.
Cloud integration is supported through MQTT with Microsoft Azure and IBM Bluemix, and the unit works with the IoTstar cloud management software. The controller runs on a 32-bit ARM CPU at 1.0 GHz with a 32 GB microSD card, and accepts a 12 ~ 48 VDC supply. It is rated for -25 ~ +75 °C operation and can be installed on a DIN-rail or wall.
