Product information "PPDS-732D-MTCP PoE Serial-to-Ethernet Device Server, Modbus TCP Gateway"
The PPDS-732D-MTCP links RS-232 and RS-485 serial devices to an Ethernet network. Its built-in COM ports can be mapped to standard virtual COM ports on a Windows PC using the VxComm utility, so existing serial software can continue to run unchanged over the network.
The unit works as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway for SCADA and HMI systems that speak Modbus TCP. It is also a programmable device server, with the Xserver programming structure for building custom Ethernet applications and the MiniOS7 operating system. Four digital inputs support latched and counter functions, and four open-collector digital outputs (sink NPN) are provided for simple switching tasks.
Power can be taken from a PoE switch under IEEE 802.3af (Class 1) or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block. The plastic-cased unit mounts on DIN-rail or wall and has a removable terminal block for wiring. The ordering code includes the CA-0910 cable.
