PPDS-762D-MTCP brings legacy serial equipment onto an Ethernet network. Its five RS-232 ports and one RS-485 port can be bridged to a LAN, and the VxComm driver lets a Windows PC treat the remote serial ports as local COM ports, so existing serial software can keep working without modification.
The unit is programmable through the Xserver structure and runs the built-in MiniOS7 firmware, which handles protocol conversion and gateway tasks. It can act as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway for SCADA and HMI systems that speak Modbus TCP. Power can come from a PoE source using IEEE 802.3af Class 1, or from a 12 to 48 VDC supply on the removable terminal block.
Local I/O includes one digital input with latched and counter functions, and two open-collector sink (NPN) outputs rated at 30 VDC and 100 mA maximum. The unit is housed in a plastic case, mounts on DIN-rail or wall, and is specified for operation from -25 to +75 °C. This ordering code includes the CA-0910 cable.
