Product information "PPDS-752D-MTCP PoE Serial-to-Ethernet Device Server, 4x RS-232 and 1x RS-485"
PPDS-752D-MTCP connects legacy serial equipment to an Ethernet network. Four RS-232 ports and one RS-485 port give engineers a compact way to bring several serial devices online without rewriting their firmware. Virtual COM drivers let Windows applications address the device server's serial ports as if they were local COM ports.
The unit runs a programmable device server environment on a built-in MiniOS7 kernel, so custom Ethernet logic can be developed on the device itself. It also operates as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway, allowing Modbus TCP SCADA or HMI clients to poll RTU or ASCII slaves on the serial side. Power can be supplied over a standard Ethernet cable from an IEEE 802.3af Class 1 PoE switch, or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block.
For field installation, the unit offers a Watchdog Timer, ESD protection of +/-4 kV on the serial ports and a removable terminal block for wiring. It mounts on DIN-rail or wall and is supplied with a CA-0910 cable. The model is listed with CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE certification in the source data.
