The I-7188XBD-512 CR is a serial programmable automation controller for embedded control tasks where a PC or PLC would be too large, too costly or not robust enough. It runs the MiniOS7 operating system on an 80188-40 CPU and is programmed in C, which suits engineers who want to build firmware around a small, dedicated controller.
On board you get 512 KB flash, 512 KB SRAM, 2 KB EEPROM and 31 bytes of NVRAM, plus one RS-485 port and one port selectable between RS-232 and RS-485 for serial communication at up to 115200 bps. A dry-contact digital input, an open-collector digital output rated at 100 mA, a five-digit 7-segment LED display and a programmable status LED provide local I/O and feedback. The X-board expansion bus allows additional I/O to be added.
The CR ordering code is the blue-cover version. Built-in watchdog timer, real-time clock and 64-bit hardware serial number support reliable operation and unit identification, and the controller is rated for -25 ~ +75 °C operation on DIN-rail mounting.
