The WP-8121-CE7 CR is a single-slot member of the WP-8000-CE7 series of Windows CE 7.0 programmable automation controllers. It pairs a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with 512 MB of DDR3 SDRAM and 256 MB of flash, and accepts one I-8K (parallel) or I-87K (serial) I/O module, making it a compact option where only a single expansion slot is needed.
Windows CE 7.0 gives the controller hard real-time capability, a small core, fast boot and deterministic control. It supports .NET Compact Framework 3.5, an embedded web server, an FTP server and an embedded SQL server, and it can host PC-based control software such as SCADA packages and soft PLCs.
