The WDT-03 CR is an intelligent watchdog timer board for PCs and other systems with an RS-232 interface. It detects software and hardware failures on the host, and it remains useful alongside a built-in watchdog circuit.
Two RS-232 ports divide the roles. The master port connects to the local host PC, which can enable, disable, refresh and read back the watchdog timer. The slave port sends information to a remote host for monitoring, so the remote host is informed of local software or hardware problems, even if the power fails.
Onboard 512 KB MRAM retains data when power is turned off and offers unlimited write endurance. Each order includes a CA-0205 2-pin cable and a CA-0910F 9-pin D-sub cable.
