PISO-CPM100U-T CR is an active CANopen master card for PCI-equipped host computers, giving engineers a single CAN channel with its own processing. The NXP SJA1000T controller and 82C250 transceiver handle bus arbitration and error detection, while a 16-bit onboard microcontroller running a real-time operating system manages message handling, so time-critical CANopen tasks can run on the card itself rather than on the host.
Host applications interact with the card through the CANopen library and memory mapping, and the board supports standard CANopen network functions including network scanning, master listen mode, node guarding and heartbeat monitoring, PDO and SDO communication, and multi-master architectures. The card also supports the CANopen Motion Library, which follows the CiA-402 specification for position, velocity, torque and synchronised control.
The CR ordering code is the 5-pin screw terminal, universal PCI version, with a built-in 120 Ω terminal resistor, a baud rate range of 10 k to 1 M, and 3000 VDC isolation on the DC-to-DC side. It is rated for an operating temperature of 0 to +60 °C.
