The PEX-DA4 CR is a PCI Express x1 data acquisition board providing four 14-bit analogue output channels for engineers who need flexible signal generation in a PC. Each channel can be configured individually as a voltage output (±10 V) or a current output (0 to 20 mA, sink), so a single board can drive mixed signal types without hardware changes.
Calibration is performed in software rather than with jumpers or trim-pots, and the calibration data is stored in EEPROM for long-term use. The board also includes a 4-bit Card ID switch so that individual cards can be identified in software when two or more boards are installed in the same computer. The PEX-DA series is designed as a direct replacement for the PIO-DA series, requiring no modification to existing software or drivers.
Besides the four analogue outputs, the board provides 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, both 5 V, with 500 kHz typical response speed, plus three 16-bit timer/counter/frequency channels. It ships with one CA-4002 D-Sub connector, and is CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE certified.
