M-7018-16-G CR is a 16-channel differential analog input module for engineers who need to acquire thermocouple, voltage and current signals on an RS-485 network. Each channel can be configured for a range from ±15 mV up to ±2.5 V, or for 0 to +20 mA, +4 to +20 mA or ±20 mA current input. Ten thermocouple types are supported, including J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N and C.The module suits measurement tasks where per-channel fault detection matters. Open wire detection is available for thermocouple inputs, and the module tolerates overvoltage of up to ±30 VDC. Protection against electrostatic discharge and isolation between the module and its environment help it cope with demanding installations. The built-in dual watchdog, covering the module and communication, supports reliable unattended operation.This gray-cover variant communicates over one RS-485 port using either DCON or Modbus RTU, with selectable baud rates from 1200 to 115200 bps. The M-7018-G CR is a DIN-rail remote I/O module that takes in eight differential analog channels and accepts voltage, current or thermocouple signals on the same hardware. Readings are sent over a single RS-485 port, so it suits distributed measurement in cabinets and across machines where a serial network is already in place.Each channel supports a wide selection of thermocouple types (J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N and C) as well as a range of voltage and current spans, with 16-bit resolution.
