The I-8058W-G CR is an 8-channel digital input module for detecting AC or DC signals at 80 ~ 250 VAC/VDC. Each channel is differential and uses a wet contact input, so it suits switching signals from field devices where the input voltage level is high and galvanic separation from the controller is required.
Photocoupler isolation and 5000 Vrms intra-module isolation protect the logic side from the field wiring. The module also provides 4 kV ESD protection (contact, for each terminal), and its eight I/O LEDs show the status of each input channel, alongside a power and communication indicator.
With a power consumption of 0.6 W maximum and a 30 x 102 x 115 mm (W x L x H) housing, the module is compact for I-8K/I-87K series racks.
