I-8051-G CR is a 16-channel digital input module for remote I/O designs where field signals arrive as dry contacts. Each channel reads a closed contact connected to GND as ON and an open contact as OFF, so it suits switch, relay and push-button signals without a separate supply on the input side.
The module is rated for an effective wiring distance of up to 100 m. All channels are non-isolated and carry ±4 kV contact ESD protection on each terminal, which helps the inputs withstand electrostatic discharge during installation and service. Sixteen I/O LEDs show the state of each input, and a power and communication LED gives a quick visual check during commissioning and fault finding.
The gray-cover -G variant of the I-8051 family is supplied in a low-profile housing from the I-8K/I-87K series, with a power consumption of 1.1 W maximum and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. Check the wiring and sink/source arrangement against your field devices before ordering.
