F-8015 CR is an 8-channel RTD input module for the iDCS-8000 system. It accepts Pt100, JPt100 and Pt1000 sensors, with a 16-bit resolution and a user-definable up/down scale on every channel, so the input range can be tailored to the measurement.
The module suits applications where measurement accuracy and fault containment matter. Each input is isolated at 3000 VDC from both the backplane and frame ground, so a high voltage or current fault on a channel should not propagate to other components in the iDCS-8000 system. Open wire detection flags broken sensor connections.
Redundancy support with a fast switching time of under 100 µs makes the F-8015 CR a candidate for designs that need continuity of temperature monitoring. It is typically used in building, factory and machine automation, as well as remote diagnosis and maintenance and test equipment.
