The DB-24SSRDC/D is a daughter board carrying 24 normally open (FORM A) solid-state relays. Each channel is driven by a 5 V signal applied through the 50-pin header or the 37-pin D-sub connector, so the board can switch high-voltage loads while keeping field wiring electrically separated from the host computer. This helps avoid ground-loop problems and protects the host from damaging voltages.
Each relay has an LED that lights when its channel is energised, giving quick visual confirmation of relay status. Field connections are made on screw terminals. The 37-pin D-sub connector allows the board to be driven from any TTL output board, so it can also serve as a general-purpose solid-state relay output stage.
