The CAN-2054D is a DeviceNet slave module that gives a DeviceNet master access to eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs over a single node. Input and output status can be read, and the module's configuration can be set, through the supplied EDS file, so it can be added to a DeviceNet network without custom programming.
Each input channel is isolated and accepts sink or source signals from a wet contact, with an ON level of +3.5 ~ +30 VDC. Each output channel is an isolated sink-type open-collector driver rated at 700 mA per channel, with a load voltage of +5 ~ +30 VDC and 3750 Vrms intra-module isolation. The module is suited to interfacing with PNP, NPN, TTL and relay contact signals.
The module operates as a Group 2 only server (non UCMM-capable) and supports the predefined master/slave connection set, with one connection each for explicit messaging, polled I/O and bit-strobe I/O. Heartbeat and shutdown messages are supported. It mounts on DIN-rail and is specified for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 ℃.
