The BLE-USB CR is a compact converter that bridges a USB host to a Bluetooth low energy piconet. It suits engineers who need a USB-attached BLE radio without an external power supply or antenna, as the unit is USB socket powered and uses a 1.0 dBi chip antenna.
The module offers two transmission modes. In advertisement mode it operates as broadcaster or observer, while in connection mode it can act as central or peripheral. Connection parameters such as RF power level, broadcast parameters and the number of slaves are set through AT commands, and the supplied Windows utility allows configuration and testing over USB. A slave security mechanism causes the device to ignore connection requests from illegal masters.
The manufacturer lists this ordering variant for Asia only. Please check the intended deployment region before specifying the unit for European projects.
