CO2 and indoor air quality monitoring with Modbus and MQTT loggers
What CO2, particle, TVOC and CO readings tell you, how to choose a CL series data logger, and how to connect it to a BMS or SCADA system.
Sensors, data loggers and alarm modules for temperature, humidity, CO2 and leaks in food, pharma, laboratories and storage.
Many processes and stored goods depend on stable conditions. Food production and storage need documented temperatures for HACCP, pharmaceuticals and blood products need controlled storage, laboratories and server rooms need a stable climate, and museums and archives need controlled humidity. The common requirement is continuous measurement, reliable logging and an alarm when a limit is exceeded.
The CL series data loggers measure temperature, humidity and dew point, combined with CO2, CO, particulate matter (PM1, PM2.5, PM10), TVOC or gases such as O2, NH3 and H2S depending on the model. They log data internally, communicate over RS-485 and Ethernet with PoE using Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP and MQTT, and are also available with Wi-Fi. Liquid leakage detection uses sensing cable laid along pipes and floors, and signals a leak to the monitoring system.
Where sensors are already installed, temperature input modules read thermocouples, RTDs and thermistors directly. RS-485 modules such as the M-7000 series do this over Modbus RTU, Ethernet modules over Modbus TCP, and wireless I/O covers locations that are difficult to cable.
Alert modules play voice or tone messages and drive sirens, and iKAN LED message displays show measured values or alarm texts where staff can see them. Combined with an edge controller or an I/O module with logic rules, alarms can also be sent by e-mail.
For HACCP and quality systems, measurements must be stored with time stamps and kept available for inspection. Data can be logged locally in the sensor or module, collected by an edge controller, or stored centrally in SCADA, a database or IoTstar.
Each cold room and freezer gets a temperature sensor read by M-7000 RTD input modules on a shared RS-485 line, and a CL series logger monitors humidity and CO2 in the packing area. An edge controller collects all values, stores them with time stamps for the HACCP records and sends an e-mail and switches a siren if a room stays above its limit for longer than the set delay.
Send us a list of rooms or measuring points, and we will propose sensors, logging and alarm handling.
The PET-7017-10 is a PoE-powered Ethernet analog input module for engineers who need voltage or current measurement on a networked I/O node. Its inputs can be set as 10 differential or 20 single-ended channels in software, and each channel can be given its own range, so one module can serve mixed sensor types on the same network. Each channel offers a choice of voltage ranges from ±150 mV to ±10 V and current ranges of ±20 mA, 0 ~ 20 mA and 4 ~ 20 mA, selected with jumpers. Resolution is 16-bit, and the module has two sampling modes: normal mode at 10 Hz total and fast mode at 50 Hz total. Open wire detection is available for 4 ~ 20 mA inputs, and differential channels are rated for 240 Vrms overvoltage protection.Configuration and monitoring are handled through a built-in web server with Web HMI, and the module supports Modbus TCP and Modbus UDP. Access is controlled by ID, password and IP filter. The unit is powered either from PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1) or from a +12 ~ +48 VDC terminal block, and it mounts on a DIN rail.ApplicationsBuilding automationFactory automationMachine automationRemote maintenanceRemote diagnosisTesting equipment
The ACS-10V-MF CR is an RFID proximity card reader for access control, combining door access, voice guidance and elevator floor control in one unit. It reads Mifare Classic, Ultralight and DESFire cards and can store up to 8192 cards, making it suited to community door access and elevator control. The reader includes electric door lock control and door position detection, plus an anti-sabotage micro switch. It keeps access records and provides a built-in RTC and WDT. Elevator floor control supports up to 16 floors.Connectivity covers a 10/100Base-T(X) Ethernet port, an RS-485 port and CAN (ISO-11898-2). Four digital inputs and two Form C relay outputs support door and system integration. The unit is wall mounted and rated for -20 ~ +60 °C operation.ApplicationsCommunity door access controlElevator access and floor controlAccess control systems requiring door position monitoring
The ACS-10V-MF-TC is an RFID proximity card reader for access control systems. It reads ISO 14443 A cards, including Mifare Classic, Ultralight and DESFire, and combines door access control, voice guidance and elevator floor control in one unit. This -TC ordering code is the Chinese voice version of the reader. The built-in voice message function gives users audible feedback at the door. The unit has an Ethernet port, an RS-485 port and a CAN bus interface, so it can be integrated into different access control architectures.Door security is handled by an electric door lock output, door position detection and an anti-sabotage micro switch. Access records are kept on the device, and it can store up to 8192 cards. It is suited to community door access and elevator control installations.ApplicationsCommunity door access controlElevator floor controlAccess control systems
The ACS-10VP-MF is a wall-mounted RFID proximity card reader for access control. It reads Mifare Classic, Ultralight and DESFire cards and combines door access, voice guidance and elevator floor control in one unit. This ordering code is the English voice version. Its Ethernet port supports Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1), so the reader can be powered from the same cable as its network connection. An RS-485 port is also provided for serial communication. Two digital inputs and two Form C relay outputs allow the reader to handle door lock control and door position detection, and a micro switch provides anti-sabotage detection.Stores up to 8192 cards and provides access records.Supports elevator floor control for up to 32 floors.Built-in RTC and WDT for timekeeping and watchdog protection.ApplicationsCommunity door accessElevator controlAccess control systems
