The F-8017C1 CR is a 16-bit analog input module with eight differential current channels, designed for 4~20 mA transmitters in iDCS-8000 installations that need redundancy. Each channel is isolated, so a fault on one input is kept away from the backplane and the other modules in the system.
Current inputs can be read up to 25% over range, although accuracy is not guaranteed in the over-range region. Within normal range the module specifies ±0.05% FSR accuracy, and it supports a total sampling rate of 500 samples per second. Redundant switching completes in under 100 µs, which helps keep measurements continuous during a changeover.
