The CAN-2053D CR is a DeviceNet slave I/O module that brings 16 isolated wet-type digital inputs onto a DeviceNet network. Each input accepts sink or source signals, so it can monitor PNP, NPN, TTL and relay contact outputs from field devices without changing the module.
The module operates as a Group 2 Only Server, which is not UCMM-capable, and supports the predefined master/slave connection set. It provides one connection each for Explicit Messaging, Polled I/O and Bit-Strobe I/O. An EDS file is supplied for configuring the module from a DeviceNet master interface.
Choose this model when you need a compact, DIN-rail mounted input node for switch detection or alarm monitoring on a DeviceNet bus. Each channel has 4 kV contact ESD protection, and the module runs from +10 VDC to +30 VDC over a -25 ~ +75 ℃ operating range.
