ALX-9191 CR is a single-slot Linux PAC that runs Ubuntu 20.04 with Linux kernel 5.4 on an Intel Atom E3950 processor, with 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM and a 64 GB SSD. It offers hard real-time capability and a built-in real-time clock, so it suits control tasks that need deterministic timing alongside local display and operator input.
The unit provides VGA and HDMI outputs, two 10/100/1000M Ethernet ports, four serial ports (RS-232/RS-485) with 3000 VDC isolation, and USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. Local I/O is added through one e-Bus and one serial/parallel bus, supporting the I-9K, I-97K and e-9K series. Programs can be stored on a CFast card or USB mass storage device, and the LinPAC SDK allows I/O applications to be developed in GNU C.
