MiniOS7 ViewPAC
VP-2111 CR is a wall-mounted ViewPAC that brings controller logic, a local operator interface and I/O expansion into a single unit. It is the English and Simplified Chinese version of the standard VP-2111, with an 80186 CPU running at 80 MHz and the MiniOS7 embedded operating system, which the manufacturer states boots in 0.4 to 0.8 seconds. The unit has three slots for high-profile I-8K and I-87K series modules, covering digital, analogue, counter/frequency and motion control functions. Its STN LCD, 24-key rubber keypad and IP65-rated front panel let operators work with the machine locally. An engineer would pick it where a separate HMI and PLC would otherwise be needed, since it reduces system cost and panel space.Software is developed in C, and a Modbus library is provided. Programs can be loaded over RS-232 or Ethernet, and the unit offers built-in hardware diagnostics and a 64 MB NAND flash for data storage.ApplicationsLocal operator panels combining HMI and PLC functionsWall-mounted machine control panels with I-8K or I-87K I/O expansionReplacement of separate HMI and PLC solutions to reduce cost and panel space
VP-2111-TC is a panel-mounted ViewPAC built around an 80186 CPU running at 80 MHz under the DOS-like MiniOS7 operating system. Engineers get local operator interaction and control logic in a single wall-mounted unit, rather than pairing a separate HMI with a PLC.The unit has three slots for high-profile I-8K and I-87K series modules, covering digital, analogue, counter/frequency and motion control functions. Communication is provided by one 10/100M Ethernet port and three serial ports (RS-232, RS-485 and a switchable RS-232/RS-485), and programs can be loaded over RS-232 or Ethernet. Software is developed in C with a provided toolkit and Modbus library. The -TC version ships with an STN LCD that supports both English and Traditional Chinese text. It is rated for an operating range of -15 ~ +55 °C and has an IP65 front panel.Suits cabinet-door and machine-side panels where display, keypad and control are needed together.ApplicationsLocal operator panels combining HMI and control functionsMachine-side and control-cabinet door panels with I/O expansion
