The XP-8338-CE6 CR is a Win-GRAF programmable automation controller that runs Windows CE 6.0 on a 1.0 GHz dual-core x86 CPU. Its embedded Win-GRAF SoftLogic environment is programmed to IEC 61131-3, so control logic can be developed in a familiar standard while the controller provides hard real-time capability and a PC-like display and operating environment.
This 3-slot variant accepts up to three expansion modules, either high-profile I-8K parallel I/O or I-87K serial I/O modules. The VGA output, 4 x USB 2.0 ports, two 10/100/1000 Base-TX Ethernet ports and a mix of RS-232 and RS-485 serial ports allow it to connect local displays, field devices and supervisory systems. Choose the XP-8338-CE6 when you need more I/O capacity than the 0- or 1-slot models but do not need the 7-slot XP-8738-CE6.
Communication options include Modbus RTU/TCP (master and slave), Modbus ASCII master and an OPC UA server. The controller supports redundant power inputs and a Dual-PAC redundant system configuration, and includes eLogger HMI functionality for local operator screens.
