The M-7004-G is a four-port temperature input module for engineers who need to collect readings from DS18B20 digital sensors across a distributed installation. Each port accepts 2- or 3-wire sensor connections, and up to 20 sensors can be daisy-chained on a single port over a wiring run of up to 100 metres.
Measurement and communication: Each DS18B20 sensor offers a measurement range of -55 ~ +125 °C and an accuracy of ±0.5 °C between -10 and +85 °C, with 12-bit resolution and a 1 Hz sampling rate. Readings are returned to the host over a single RS-485 port that supports Modbus RTU and DCON, with a baud rate from 1200 to 115200 bps.
Build and installation: The module provides 3000 VDC intra-module isolation and 4 kV ESD protection, and is designed for DIN-rail mounting on a +10 ~ +48 VDC supply with reverse polarity protection. The gray cover variant is the one to specify for this ordering code.
