The FN990A28 CR is a 5G/LTE data card module in the standard M.2 form factor, aimed at engineers building M2M and IoT equipment that needs cellular connectivity on a compact board-level module.
It implements 3GPP Release 16 and supports both 5G NSA and 5G SA operation, together with EN-DC. Because it remains backward compatible with existing GSM/GPRS networks, it can be specified where legacy coverage is still part of the deployment.
Peak rates are 3.4 Gbps DL / 0.46 Gbps UL in 5G NSA and 2.5 Gbps DL / 0.90 Gbps UL in 5G SA. The module operates from -40 °C to +85 °C and is rated for RED, FCC, CCC, RoHS and WEEE.
