The F-8041 CR is a 32-channel digital output module with NPN, sink-type open-collector outputs. Each channel can switch loads of up to 0.5 A, and the module can carry up to 4.5 A across all channels combined. An LED on each channel shows its output status, which simplifies commissioning and fault finding.
Designed for redundant architectures, the module offers fast redundant switching with a time below 100us. Safety (Preset/Hold) and power-on initial output values can be set, so outputs can settle into a defined state when the system starts or when communication is lost.
Isolation is rated at 3000 VDC from the outputs to the backplane and to frame ground, plus 3000 VDC intra-module isolation. This protects the backplane, other modules and the control unit if a fault on the field side applies high voltage or current to the channels. The module is CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE certified and operates from -25 °C to +75 °C.
