The EC4-C16 CR is a slim EtherCAT SubDevice I/O module that switches 16 electrically isolated digital outputs. It suits distributed control in EtherCAT networks, where a compact footprint and a reduced number of field cables are priorities. Each channel is an open-collector sink output with an internal flywheel diode, rated up to 40 VDC and 500 mA per channel.
Output states can be checked at a glance from the LED indicators on the enclosure. The module also offers configurable power-on output values and, when required, can retain output values after an EtherCAT state machine change. Distributed clocks are supported with a cycle time of 100 μs.
The CR suffix denotes the RoHS-compliant ordering variant. The module is CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE marked, operates from a +24 VDC supply at -25 ~ +70°C, and mounts on DIN-rail or wall.
