The tET-C4 CR is a tiny Ethernet I/O module with four digital outputs. Each channel is an open-collector sink (NPN) output rated at 100 mA per channel, with a load voltage of +5 to +30 VDC. It is configured through its built-in web server and can be controlled over a 10/100 Base-Tx network using Modbus TCP, Modbus UDP or MQTT, which suits integration with HMI, SCADA, PLC and other software systems.
Beyond basic switching, the module supports I/O pair connection, allowing the status of local inputs on one device to drive outputs on a remote device over Ethernet. A dual-watchdog arrangement provides a CPU watchdog for firmware faults and a host watchdog that can drive the outputs to a predefined Safe Value if the host controller fails. Digital outputs also have configurable power-on and safe values, and firmware can be updated via Ethernet.
The module is powered from a terminal block at +12 to +48 VDC with reverse polarity protection, and draws 0.9 W. It has 3750 Vrms isolation on the digital outputs, is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C, and mounts on a DIN rail in a 52 x 95 x 27 mm housing.
