The PISO-DA8U/S CR is an eight-channel analogue output card for universal PCI (3.3 V/5 V) slots, intended for PC-based control and test systems that need 14-bit outputs with bus-type isolation. Each channel can be set individually to voltage output (±10 V) or current output (0 to 20 mA), and the card includes a CA-3710 D-Sub cable.
Calibration is performed in software rather than with jumpers or trim-pots, and the calibration data is stored in EEPROM. A 4-bit Card ID switch lets software identify the board when two or more cards are fitted in the same computer. The card also provides 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs at 5 V/TTL levels, together with three 16-bit timer/counter channels.
Typical uses include high-speed data acquisition, process monitoring and control, vibration analysis, and generating digital patterns from the digital I/O port.
