The PEX-P16R16i CR is a PCI Express x1 digital I/O board that pairs 16 isolated digital inputs with 16 relay outputs. Each input is photocoupler isolated to 3750 Vrms, so field signals can float and ground loops are avoided. The relays suit switching external devices on and off, driving external relays or small power switches, and activating alarms.
The board is intended as an easy replacement for the PISO-P16R16U, with no changes needed to the software or driver. The digital inputs accept AC or DC signals from 5 to 24 V and can be used with sink or source wiring. A selectable DC input filter and an AC input filter are available, and a 4-bit Card ID set by an SMD switch helps identify boards in multi-card systems.
The relay bank provides eight SPDT and eight SPST contacts rated AC 120 V at 0.5 A or DC 24 V at 1 A. The package includes one CA-4037W cable and two CA-4002 D-Sub connectors. The board operates from 0 to +60°C.
